New Tower Simulator ANS CR (project NETWOR)

Delivery of a new 3D TWR simulator for the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR), including Czech Air Navigation Institute (CANI). The aim of project NETWOR (New Tower Simulator ANS CR) is to provide ANS CR with a highly reliable, flexible, state-of-the-art 3D TWR simulator to fulfill the different training and other needs. The ANS CR training needs consist of the following types of training: • initial training (basic and rating trainings), • unit training (transition and Pre-OJT trainings), • continuation training (refresher and conversion trainings), • emergency training, • OJTI and assessor training, • military controller training. These trainings will be performed using several different airport environments: • LKPR (including stimulated ATM system) - controlled by ANS CR ATCOs, • LKKV, LKTB, LKMT and possibly LKCS (including emulated ATM system and possibly a Remote Tower system) - controlled by ANS CR ATCOs, • LKKB, LKPD, LKCV, LKNA - controlled by military controllers, • artificial airports based on LKPR and LKTB - used for external CANI clients, • other airports requested by external CANI clients. The other ANS CR needs include: • testing of new procedures, • testing of new ATM systems and system changes, • testing of airport layout changes, • airside familiarization for other airport users.
